HOMECOMING KAZOO BANDS

 
Parade:  Line up 9:15 a.m. sharp, Raley Hall parking lot.  Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends at 11:15 a.m. All Kazoo Bands not in place by 10:00 a.m. will be disqualified from prize judging in the parade.  Float judging begins at 9:15am.

  • Kazoo Bands - KAZOOS PROVIDED in the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership (CSIL) beginning October 6th.
  • Groups must consist of 5 or more people in the Kazoo Band competitions.  Thus, Greek Fraternities & Sororities will vie for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place.  Likewise, Clubs, Hall Councils and UFOs will compete in their own categories for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
 

KAZOO BAND JUDGING CRITERIA:

Quality and Theme of Parade Banner  25%
Spirit of Members  25%
Theme Oriented Costumes  25%
Quality of Kazoo Songs  25%
Points will be awarded to all Kazoo Bands who register by the deadline, follow the judging criteria, behave appropriately for a family parade, and successfully complete the parade. 
 
All organizations must have a walking banner (which clearly identifies the organization) to be judged. The banner made for the banner contest cannot be used. They are still hanging in the Plemmons Student Union at this time. The Kazoo routine for the judges may be no longer than 40 seconds. Routines will be timed.
 
Athletic teams may participate, but must be wearing uniforms clearly identifying themselves.
